One Year & Counting

Shooting by the railroad tracks is always a blast...but when this amazing couple brought their Harley along it made it that much better. These pictures are a little overdue but still some of my favorites! Happy Anniversary Shawn & Jess! Thanks for climbing on dirty cable cars, almost running out of gas, and parking your Harley in the middle of the road. Hope it was worth it!!

What lies within us...

Your last year in high school is an important time to capture real life on film. With so many things to think about in her future and so many memories behind her, its good to see a girl who isn't spinning out of control. I'm excited to see what the future will bring her, but for now she is enjoying life, living in the present, and blessing the people around her by just being her. I read a quote that defines what I have gained from my time watching her throughout high school... "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." (Ralph Waldo Emerson) Congrats girl, I'm proud of the woman you have become, and can't wait to see what's in store for you. Thanks for volunteering to be my guinea pig model from day 1 (even at the park at 9pm for no reason when I had NO idea what I was doing!). I just hope these pictures do your true beauty justice. ♥ Adena

Better than a Fairytale

These 2 deserve the best and, it is obvious from the smile on their face, they have found it. My simple prayer for this photo shoot was to bless them and to capture this moment of new love, excitement and anticipation. Through out the shoot I got to experience all of these feelings. I didn't have to tell them to smile, to kiss, or to get closer (actually, I couldn't get them apart and had to tell them to look at me!). As I was leaving I told them, "Congrats, you 2 of all people deserve a fairytale." Her response, as she smiled and grabbed her handsome Army man..."OHH this is so much better than a fairytale!"
