Softball Beauty

This was the senior shoot I have been looking forward to all year. I've done a few shoots with Brooke and couldn't wait to get her on the softball field where she feels at home. She let me get creative and not even have her in her uniform. Trying to capture her beauty and her passion for the game was easy. And her amazing mom (who happens to be an AMAZING florist..'Blossoms by Gayle') even gave us some flowers to spice things up. I've never seen so much beauty on a softball field.

Just a Day at the Park

Looks, personality, spunk...these boys have it all. Good thing they are my nephews and I have rights to them! This was such a fun shoot. Although we ran from geese (I think I was the reason the kids were scared!), no one fell in the water and we got some good pictures so I would call it a success! And of course, Avree had to sneak in one.

Crazy Love

Heading to Lake Las Vegas to photograph a big family was a little intimidating. I brought along my friend Tia to assist me because I had no idea what to expect! But everything I expected went out the window as I watched an army of 11 people in white shirts & jeans walk across the bridge towards me. My goal for the day was to get 1 or 2 good shots of everyone. (Realistically there is no way to get everyone looking good at the same time, right?) But this family proved me wrong. They totally let me in, showed me their personality, and through that their love for each other took over every picture. I had more fun taking their pictures then I have had at a shoot in a long time. They are CRAZY but they are crazy for each other, and that is what we should all strive for. Thank you guys for letting me be part of your amazing family for an hour. You have something to be VERY proud of!

Vegas Pastor

When Neal asked for help with some head shots for different things that cool pastors do, I couldn't help but turn it into a fun shoot. He is one of the pastors at South Hills Church Community in Henderson, but he's not your everyday pastor. So to show a little personality, we got our families together and spent some time in downtown Vegas. Here are a few of my favorites.

Smile of the Year

I love doing senior shoots for guys because they know what they want, they let me do my job, and when I think we have enough great shots they trust me. This was so true for Jesse. BUT senior guy shoots can also be the most challenging because its hard to get them to open up and show their real smile and their personality...this was so NOT true for Jesse. I couldn't get the smile OFF of his face. But I'm not complaining! And truth be told he had my laughing the whole time too. He is such a great kid, with a great family, and a great head on his shoulders. I know he'll make his momma proud!

Wine Country Beauty

Last weekend I got to spend some time away from everything. Although I enjoy my family, my work, and all the other things that consume my time, it was nice to take a deep breath and focus on nothing but myself, my best friend, and beautiful wine country. Katia is beautiful so of course, she got to be my model all weekend. Had to share my favorite shot!
